2008 AT&T BLUEGRASS DISC GOLF SERIES

Tour Goals:
Increase the visibility of Disc Golf across Kentucky.
Encourage players to travel to other Kentucky courses / events.
Promote Kentucky as the hot bed of disc golf, and a destination for disc golf tourism.
Show sponsors the value of disc golf as a marketing tool with numbers and demographics of players.
For the Players:
May play in any division offered, and get points in more than one division (ie: Advanced and Rec).
Can accumulate points for year end prizes and series championship titles.
Points will be awarded based on finish, with ties both getting higher point total.
First: 25, 2nd: 20, 3rd: 17, 4th: 15, 5th: 14, 6th: 13 points, and down to 1 point for 18th.
Top 5 finishes in a division will be used for year end total.
Year End ties for first will be broken based on head to head results during year.
For the TD/Club events:
Ask the TD’s to collect the $2.00 per person for year-end prizes. All $2 stays in division paid into.
Wave the $2 fee for a-tier and NT –tier: the players are already paying $5 fee to the PDGA.
Each event is a stand alone event, run and managed solely by the TD (or club), no additional input
from the series.
Send copy of TD report (player results) in PDGA excel file.
Include the tag line: “part of the 2008 AT&T Bluegrass Disc Golf Series” in all marketing material
(flyers, web, ads)
From Bluegrass Disc Golf
Obtain tour sponsorships.
Offer any TD in the State a reimbursement of the PDGA fees ($50 for C-tier to $100 for A-tier).
Collect and account for the series fees (publish on line running totals).
Will add $100 to series prize pool for each A-tier and NT, spread based on the event’s division
attendance.
Will do additional ads in the new magazine with the events listed.
Will keep up with series points / payouts. (bluegrassdiscgolf.org).
Depending on the number of events; add to players’ package sponsored logo items or hole
sponsorships.
