Great Parks is improving and expanding the 9-hole disc golf course at Embshoff Woods Nature Preserve to a full 18-hole layout.

A public input online survey and an onsite community engagement session was held this spring, and preliminary land use layout has been reviewed by the staff environmental team.

The design is in progress based on all these findings and on track for a fall 2026 construction date. 

The new course will have 2 Innova targets and one concrete tee on each hole, creating a more recreational layout as well as a more advanced layout for the players (similar to the recently opened Miami Whitewater Forest course).
